Dear sports friends,
Have you ever wondered why we at Helm Trophy use the informal “you”? There are many good reasons for this, which go far beyond a simple language convention. We want to meet you at eye level, as if we were part of your club or team. Whether as an athlete, coach, or club member – in sports, there is no distance, only mutual respect and solidarity. And it is precisely this sense of connection that we want to reflect in our communication.
Sports clubs and their members are connected by more than just a shared interest. You know each other, you share successes and defeats, and often you grow together over many years. This closeness and openness is also expressed in language. The informal “you” is simply part of it, as it creates a direct, personal approach. It brings us closer together and makes communication simpler and friendlier.
So when we address you informally, it means that we see you as partners and as part of our Helm Trophy community. You are not just customers – you are people with a passion that we share: the joy of success and the celebration of special moments. With our Trophies and medals, we want to capture and make these emotions tangible, and that works best when we also feel connected through language.
We have consciously chosen to use the informal “you.” Because in our industry, which is closely linked to sports, the formal “you” would create an artificial distance that does not fit our philosophy. We want to be authentic, communicate with you on the same wavelength, and create an atmosphere in which you feel understood and well taken care of.
I warmly invite you to get in touch with me and my team. Whether you have questions, suggestions, or feedback – I look forward to your messages. Let us speak the language we all know from sports: personal, direct, and respectful. Let us celebrate great moments together that will remain in our memories forever.
Best regards
Christian Helm
